Lecturer: Kaoru Matsumoto ( Japanese sculptor )
Japanese artist Kaoru Matsumoto excels at using “wind” as an enhancement to spin or move his kinetic art works. With the changing of light around it, his elegantly moving sculpture offers a visual effect that challenges the rules of physics. Mr. Matsumoto will share the secrets of kinetic art creation with his models and video documentaries.

Lecturer：Lin Hong-Wen （Associate Professor of Department of Fine Arts, Tainan University of Technology）
Lin Hong-Wen’s copper casting and steel sculpture series: “Lounging in Pine Whispering” is one of the artworks of the campus public art project. This work combines the concept of environmental art and lyrical mood. Though the artist was a major in Western painting, he is not restrained by his academic upbringing. Lin instead tries different materials that lead to more possibilities.

The public art project that has been planned more than a year will be completed in the summer, 2011, and introduced to everyone. We will also hold a seminar with the artists and other art experts to discuss their opinions and experiences on public art issues.
