The Rules of the game is one of Renoir's best movie. It is a very complex film to talk about.( I mean you really have to watch at least five to ten times before you can write it about)
For a lot of the film school instructors , the film is been represented as one of the most important films in the film history ( with the Orsin welles"Citizen Kane")
If you want to know the resume of the film. I suggest that you find a book "the films in my life" by Francois Truffaut (another famous French director) or "Jean Renoir" by Andre Bazin (the most famous French film critic). I believe that you can find both books in the Elite bookstore in Taipei!
