Relations
Research Center For The Cross-Strait
The center is equipped with a spacious
room and sufficient reference books consisting of over
one thousand volumes, mostly publications from Mainland
China in various fields such as politics, economics, culture,
philosophy and history. This interdisciplinary
study center is open to our teachers and students, as
well as other researchers from related departments,
institutes and centers who seek information regarding
cross-strait relations.
It is so far the most important exchange
stronghold for both scholars and students in the field.
Research
Center For The Modern Chinese History
The center has collected approximately
one thousand volumes, with a strong focus on the autobiographies
of modern figures; many of them are rare, out of print
documents that make up for the deficiencies of related
collections in the university library. This
center also has collections of the writings of our teachers
and students. For the time being, the center has established
a fledgling model based on these collections of volumes
and journals, and the reference books are sufficient
enough for a small conference.
Students are responsible for compiling
new books, cleaning the environment and opening the
center each week at fixed times graduate undergraduate
students to use.
Research
Center For The Taiwan History
The center was originally
established by a project grant from the Ministry of Education.
Because many our books were added to the catalogue and
collections of the university library, there are merely
a few hundred books collected here. In
our institute, students who are interested in the history
of Taiwan often engage the discussion groups and meetings
held by the center, and the atmosphere is enthusiastic
and active. We sincerely welcome anyone who has an interest
in Taiwan History to participate these activities.
