It's good that you post this email. It means that somehow this website has finally form a forum. Although it's very primitive but it has something that we want to share.

Culture issues are not so easy to discuss especially when you are in an ivory tower. I don't know who use this website but I must say that those students who post their article on the website are GREAT.

In internet culture, there is a document called RFC(Requent for Comment). It's a proposal about a technology or a protocol submitted to the Internet community for critics and comments. The author then revises it and present it to a Standard commite, get approvaled and it becomes a standard. Many of the internet services and protocols are decided by these mechanism. For example, HTTP is defined in:

You might also know that the original purpose of WWW was to provide a way for physic scienists around the world to share research results.

So, this is the first step this website has stepped out: to provide a place for people to share anything. And it's these students who steps out the first step.

If it's only students in tho campus who contribute to this website, then that's what they care about as a student in NCU, somewhere in the suburb of a small city. For those who visits this webste from other places, maybe it's time for you to throw something in. Isn't it?

BTW, this website is going to publish its spring 99 issue. Basically it will be the same as Autumn 98. But if you have any great idea, please don't hestitate to post here.
