Enchanting Melodies: Great Success of the Music Concert for NCU’s 60th Anniversary Celebration
NCU held a music concert on the evening of December 16, 2022, to celebrate its 60th anniversary of re-establishment in Taiwan. The Taipei Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra (TPSO) was invited to play 12 music pieces covering classical music, modern compositions, film scores, and Taiwanese music. At the grand finale, the TPSO, the NCU Wind Band, and the NCU String Orchestra all played together; the audience stood up for such a magnificent scene, giving their cheerful applause and acclamation!

The 2023 Satellite Image Calendar "Taiwan's Allies from Above" Was Published
Taiwan began to provide foreign aid in 1959 and has offered feedback to international communities with various comparative advantages for many years. The Center for Space and Remote Sensing Research (CSRSR) at National Central University (NCU) and the International Cooperation and Development Fund (Taiwan ICDF) collaborated to produce the 2023 satellite image calendar "Taiwan's Allies from Above." From the perspective of a very-high resolution remote sensing satellite, the calendar allows us to witness the beautiful friendship and partnership between Taiwan and our allies.

Flying Towards the Universe: NCU Contributes the First Experimental Low Earth Orbit Communications Satellite of the High-tech Industry in Taiwan
The Hong Hai Research Institute of Hong Hai Technological Group announced that it will collaborate with National Central University (NCU) and other institutes in developing Taiwan's first low earth orbit (LEO) communications satellite, and the estimated time to launch the satellite is 2023. The collaboration has placed Taiwan's space industry, which features independent research and development, in the spotlight. The Advanced Ionospheric Probe (AIP) independently developed by NCU has made the university far ahead of other academic institutes in the country in terms of research progress. The development not only gained full trust industry-wide but also demonstrated international influence.

NCU Won 20 Awards at the Invention Competition of the 2022 Taiwan Innotech Expo
The invention competition of the 2022 Taiwan Innotech Expo announced the list of award winners. Among 516 entries of patents, National Central University (NCU) was awarded seven gold medal awards, three silver medal awards, eight bronze medal awards, one platinum award (the ultimate honor of the competition), and one Hon Hai Technological Group Special Award and emerged as the biggest winner of the invention competition of the year.

The First UST Sports Game Came to a Perfect Ending
The closing ceremony for the first Sports Game of the University System of Taiwan (UST) took place on the basketball court in Yi-Reng Hall at NCU on October 16, 2022. “Though the weather was not cooperating and we had no choice but to cancel the tennis competition, fortunately, other games ran smoothly. What is more important is that all the players showed their sportsmanship in every single game; this was a great start for the first UST Sports Game,” said the UST Chancellor Dr. Lih-Juann Chen.
