Subject: To announce the notification for the closing of dormitories of the 1st semester of 2024 and the opening of dormitories of the 2nd semester of 2024

Basis: According to Article 7,10,12 of Regulations for Student Dormitories.

  1. Contents: The closing times of Student Dormitories in the 1st semester of 2024 and the opening time in the 2nd semester of 2024:（for 24 hours）

*For students who have given up their dorm beds for the 2nd semester of 2024, please refer to the "To announce the application for not extending the stay at the dormitory in the 2nd semester of 2024."

*For those who want to apply for checking-out later after giving up the 2nd semester of 2024, please refer to the "2024 Academic Year Undergraduate Winter Vacation Accommodation and Fee Instructions" announcement.

*For those who leave the school in the 1st semester of 2024, they must complete the check-out procedure before leaving school, and the latest time must not exceed the above table. If the time is exceeded, the accommodation fee must be paid according to the third point.

  1. Instructions for paying accommodation fees for overdue check-out:

  1. Those who have left school need to pay NT$195 per day from January 14th to the day of overdue check-out.
  2. Those who have not left school, if you give up your bed of the 2nd semester of 2024 before 1/31, need to pay NT$195 per day;

If you do not leave school and do not give up the accommodation bed in 2nd semester of 2024, you need to pay 1/4 of the accommodation fee and winter vacation accommodation fee

Graduate students2/1-2/16
  1. Those who have left school need to pay 2 months' accommodation fee.
  2. Those who have not left school need to pay 1/4 of the accommodation fee.

 

*For those who apply for non-renewal after the 2nd semester of 2024 (including check-out procedures), 1/4 of the accommodation fee will be calculated as the accommodation fee for the 2nd semester of 2024 (The subsidized by the Ministry of Education must be refunded), after checking the amount of tuition and fees paid by those who check out after the due date, the accommodation fee will be refunded if the overpayment is due, and the accommodation fee will be paid if the balance is insufficient.

 

  1. Check-out process:
    1. Check-out Application Form (On-line version)：Please go to NCU Portal to log inàService Desk (iNCU) àStdAffairàApplication and SearchàPersonal information inquiry over the yearsàCheck-out application in the 1st semester of 2024.
    2. The size of the uploaded photos is limited to 1M. Photos uploaded for rooms to share must include - desks (cabinets), floors, beds, wardrobes, and other storage cabinets; photos uploaded for studios must include - desks (cabinets), beds, wardrobes, bathroom washrooms, toilets (please open the lids), and sinks.
    3. The dormitory manager/dormitory officer will visit your room to verify that the cleanliness meets the standard and return your room key.
    4. For those who pass the check-out application, the system will send an email to the mail box set in Service Desk (iNCU); for those who fail the check-out application, a letter will be sent to inform them of the failure and the need to pay a penalty.
    5. Daily check-out inspection time: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm; Dormitory staff's scheduled inspection time: 2025/1/10-1/12 9:00 am to 19:00 pm, 1/13 9:00 am to 13:00 pm.
  2. Check-out inspection standards:
    1. Key: You must return a golden key with the Central University/dormitory logo.
    2. Room cleaning: The personal area of ​​the dormitory must be emptied, the floor must be swept, all drawers and storage cabinets must be emptied and opened, and no items or garbage are allowed to be placed in the corridor area near the dormitory door. For studio dorms, the bathroom tiles, floors, partitions, sinks, mirrors, storage racks, and toilets must be scrubbed clean.

  1. If the check-out inspection fails, relevant fees must be paid:
    1. If the key is not returned, a fine of NT$300 will be paid (BM、NCU Dorm、1st floor of G14 will pay for NT$1150)。
    2. Individuals who fail to meet the cleaning standards in their personal areas or leave the dormitory without completing the check-out inspection will be fined NT$1000 per person. A fine of NT$600 per person will be imposed for failure to meet the cleaning standards in public areas. In case of damage to dormitory equipment caused by individuals, the cost of repair or compensation will be deducted based on the actual value. 

 

  1. Other matters:
  2. During the winter vacation, the refrigerator cleaning in each dormitory will be carried out by the dormitory leaders.
  3. Those leaving the school during the winter vacation must first complete the check-out inspection for the 1st semester of 2024, forfeit their bed space for the 2nd semester of 2024, and pay any overdue accommodation fees before they can proceed with the check-out procedures.
  4. For those on the waiting list for the 2nd semester of 2024, please bring the approved bed space application form to the dormitory office to complete the check-in process. Upon checking in, please ensure that the room cleaning meets the cleanliness standards and check if any dormitory equipment needs repairs. If there are any issues, please report them immediately to the dormitory office.
  5. Motorcycle entry times to the campus: 2025/1/10 (Fri) to 2025/1/13 (Mon), 2025/2/7 (Fri) to 2025/2/9 (Sun), 2025/2/14 (Fri) to 2025/2/16 (Sun), from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily. Please adhere to the "National Central University Motorcycle Control Regulations" and register for entry at the security team checkpoint. Motorcycles are not allowed to remain on campus overnight. Violators will be dealt with according to the regulations. 
  6. Parent’s vehicle entry times to the campus: daily from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with no overnight parking allowed. Vehicles can register at the dormitory office and receive a temporary vehicle entry permit. When leaving the campus, please use the manual vehicle lane to avoid parking fees.
  7. Guest entry times to the dormitory: 2025/1/10 (Fri) to 2025/1/13 (Mon), 205/2/7 (Fri) to 2025/2/9 (Sun), 2025/2/14 (Fri) to 2025/2/16 (Sun). The application period for dormitory entry is from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily. In consideration of the privacy and peace of the residents, guests must leave the dormitory by 7:30 PM on the same day. If the dormitory building is closed, guest entry will not be allowed.
