The Research Center for New Generation Photovoltaics at NCUhas leaded by professor Chun-Guey Wu has developed a new-generation perovskite solar module that can convert indoor light into power sufficient to charge a lithium battery. Results of the research have been published in February, 2016 on Nature Photonics, a top prestige journal of the photonic science.

NCU faculty receives academic honors and awards one after another. Wing-Huen Ip is awarded the holder of 19th National Professorship of the pleasure Ministry of Education(MOE). Dr. Chi-Hung Juan is the recipient of the 59th Academic Award from MOE.
